REPORT: Patriarch Yaziji to hold further contacts to settle the two abducted Bishops' case

Greek Orthodox Patriarch Youhanna al-Yaziji held a press conference on Saturday whereby he condemned the abduction of Bishops Boulos Yazigi and John Ibrahim, noting that further contacts will be held in order to find a solution to the problem.

In this regard, Patriarch al-Yaziji wondered why there is a lack of actions as well as limited information about the aforementioned case, holding the international community responsible for finding a settlement.

Separately, Patriarch al-Yaziji called on the concerned countries to relinquish their "narrow interests", urging them to pave the way for dialogue instead of war, he said in reference to the countries willing to strike Syria.

On April 22, Bishops Boulos Yazigi of the Greek Orthodox Church and John Ibrahim of the Assyrian Orthodox Church were kidnapped while they were traveling outside the northern city of Aleppo.
