REPORT: Explosives seized in Hawsh al-Harimeh sent to implement attacks in Lebanon

Military sources told LBCI Saturday that the explosives seized with assailants attempting to transport them in the Western Bekaa region of Hawsh al-Harimeh, were sent to Lebanon in order to implement attacks in the country.

On Thursday October 24, the Lebanese Armed Forces Command declared that an exchange of fire erupted between an army patrol and four assailants attempting to transport explosives in the region of Hawsh al-Harimeh, injuring two army soldiers and killing two unidentified gunmen, one of them wearing a “suicide suit”. Two other assailants were arrested; one of them is a Lebanese citizen while the other is a Syrian national.

The army seized 250 kilos of explosives from the vehicle.
