REPORT: President Sleiman returns from Saudi Arabia

President Michel Sleiman returned Tuesday to Lebanon, coming from Saudi Arabia, following a one-day visit, during which he held talks with the kingdom’s top officials.

Baabda sources said that the Sleiman did not discuss the formation of a new government nor the upcoming presidential elections. King Abdullah told a small Lebanese delegation that he invited the Lebanese factions to find consensus and to go back to dialogue based on Baabda's declaration. He also advised avoiding involvement in the Syrian crisis.

On Monday, Sleiman went to Saudi Arabia where he held meetings with Crown Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz and King Abdullah, and discussed bilateral ties, the latest developments in the region and the case of Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
