REPORT: Illegal and counterfeit medicine seized in Majdel Anjar

The state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday that the General Directorate of State Security raided a warehouse in the eastern Bekaa town of Majdel Anjar and seized counterfeit medication.

The agency added that the warehouse is used for the production of illegal medicine, adding that a large quantity of counterfeit drugs were seized.

In 2012, two people, including the brother of caretaker Minister of State for Administrative Reform Mohammad Fneish, were charged with an illegal medication case.
