Three main cases related to explosions and terrorist acts across the Lebanese territories were presented before the investigative judges of Beirut, in the presence of Naim Abbas, Omar al-Atrash and Joumana Hmeid.
The First Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawan interrogated Naim Abbas for three hours in the case of booby-trapped cars seized by the security forces and a depot of rockets found in the region of Saadiyat.
In this regard, Abbas confessed to everything that he has been accused of, as well as Joumanja Hmeid who admitted that she received the explosive-laden vehicle in Arsal.
Accordingly, Judge Sawan issued two arrest warrants against Abbas and Hmeid, while he had previously issued arrest warrants against 21 other persons, including Lebanese citizens and Syrian and Palestinian nationals.
Another file was presented before Military Investigative Judge Nabil Wehbe concerning the Omar al-Atrash and the booby-trapped cars and explosive belts he was accused of transporting into Lebanon.
In this regard, al-Atrash denied these accusations, noting that he transported weapons from Lebanon into Syria, not vice versa, his attorney told LBCI.
The third file was that of Jamal Daftardar and 12 others who are accused of belonging to Abdallah Azzam Brigades and al-Qaeda, and of transporting recruits to Syria.
