REPORT: Fugitive Sami al-Atrash killed in shootout with LAF

Fugitive Sami al-Atrash was killed on Thursday in a shootout as the Lebanese army raided his house in the border town of Arsal.

In details, Al-Atrash was severely injured in a shootout with an army patrol and was transported to Dar al-Amal University Hospital in Baalbek where he succumbed to his wounds.

Al-Atrash is accused of involvement in car bomb attacks that targeted several Lebanese regions.

Sources also told LBCI that the Lebanese Armed Forces carried out another raid in Arsal and arrested 5 persons including 3 Lebanese and 2 Syrians.
