REPORT: March 14 wins Tripoli's Order of Engineers elections, consensus prevails in Beirut
A list supported by the March 14 camp won on Sunday the elections of the Order of Engineers and Architects of Tripoli.

This as rival political camps reached a consensus list in Beirut to avoid an electoral battle.

Marios al-Baaini of the Lebanese Forces was elected as the head of the Tripoli order, as four members belonging to the Future movement, the Jamaa Islamiya and the Kataeb party won the elections.

An “incomplete” list backed by the March 8 camp ran in the elections.

Meanwhile in Beirut, March 8 and March 14 agreed on a consensus list led by Future's Khaled Shehab.

The list included five members belonging to Hezbollah, AMAL Movement, Free Patriotic Movement, LF and the Association of Islamic Charitable Projects (al-Ahbash), following the withdrawal of the Progressive Socialist Party's candidate.
