REPORT: Domestic violence law enters into force

The Internal Security Forces received a phone call on Friday night, urging them to help a Syrian woman who has been imprisoned and assaulted by her husband since a year and a half in the region of Achrafieh.

Accordingly, an ISF patrol rushed to the scene, took the woman out of the house and arrested her husband.

The provisions of the domestic violence law were applied to the victim and her husband.
