REPORT: Tight security measures at Masnaa border crossing on eve of Syrian elections
Members of the General Security are taking tight security measures at the Masnaa border crossing on Monday, on the eve of the Syrian presidential elections to be held Tuesday.

This comes after a group of Syrian expatriates holding the US citizenship, and 7 others coming from France, had arrived to Beirut International Airport only to head to their homeland where they will cast their ballots in Tuesday's presidential elections.

The Syrians will exercise their right to vote in defiance of the decision that was issued by states hosting them, which prevents them from participating in the elections.

Syrian expats hoisted photos of President Bashar al-Assad and headed towards Syria via buses waiting outside the airport.
