In this regard, the professors said they were subject to pressure exerted by the university’s directors, who were urging them to submit the exams.
Accordingly, the contract professors called on Prime Minister Tammam Salam to put an end to the immigration of the Lebanese people and solve the main issues hindering the work of the country’s main institutions.
The professors stressed that they will keep on boycotting the academic year’s final exams, until the draft law pertaining to their full-time employment is passed.
Later, Education Minister Elias Bou Saab joined the professors’ sit-in, where he stressed that the file of their full-time employment has been finalized and that there are no political disputes in this regard.
