REPORT: Man suspected of launching rockets towards Israel released from custody
The state-run National News Agency reported on Friday that a man who was arrested on suspicion of launching rockets against Israel was released from custody.

The agency identified the suspect as Sheikh Hussein Atweh, adding that he was released on Friday, but will be prevented from traveling outside Lebanon due to his health condition.

He was severely injured while firing a rocket towards Israel on July 11.

Another suspect, identified as Samir Hussein Abou Qais, who hails from the town of al-Habariya, was also arrested at the time.

On July 11, several rockets were launched on northern Israel from the outskirts of the town of Mari in Hasbaya, leading to retaliatory Israeli artillery fire.

The rockets were launched as Israel pressed on with its Gaza offensive which till date has reaped the lives of 1,509 victims, most of whom are civilians.
