"A military bus transporting troops to their duty stations came under fire by gunmen at 4:45 a.m. in the Akkar region of al-Bireh," the Army Command- Orientation Directorate said on Friday, noting that a Lebanese Armed Forces soldier was killed. The army cordoned off the area and launched a hunting operation in hopes of capturing the assailants.
