REPORT: Lebanon bids farewell to LAF martyrs

Lebanon bade farewell on Tuesday to Lebanese Armed Forces martyr Captain Jihad al-Haber and Lieutenant Nadim Semaan near the military hospital in Badaro.

The martyrs were killed during the latest clashes between the Lebanese Armed Forces and militants in northern Lebanon.

Clashes erupted in Tripoli between the army and militants on Friday (October 24), leaving scores of soldiers, civilians, and gunmen dead.

On Monday (October 27), the military operation that was launched by the Lebanese army in the northern city of Tripoli ended following the withdrawal of gunmen; however, LAF units remained deployed in Tripoli's Bab al-Tabbaneh.
