REPORT: LBCI crew visits Hamra restaurant amid food corruption scandal

LBCI crew visited on Friday the "Malek Al Batata" restaurant in Hamra after Health Minister Wael Abou Faour asked Interior Minister Nouhad Mashnouq to order the closure of the said restaurant for five days.

Wassim al-Chaar, the restaurant's manager, told LBCI that no warnings were issued against them nor samples had been taken from the restaurant.

He also asked minister Abou Faour for a clarification on his decision, stressing that the food being sold is highly compatible with the proper health standards.
