REPORT: Negotiations aimed at releasing troops at a standstill – Source
Sources reported to LBCI on Wednesday that negotiations aimed at securing the release of abducted soldiers have been completely halted, adding that relatives of the kidnapped soldiers are contacting members from the Association of Muslim Scholars urging them to interfere.

Other sources stated that Sheikh Wissam Massri will withdraw from negotiations aimed at releasing the troops if he does not receive an official authorization from Lebanese authorities to interfere in the said dossier.

In this context, Sheikh Massri denied via LBCI his presence in the mountainous region of Arsal, stressing that he is currently at his residence across the northern city of Tripoli.
