REPORT: PM Salam meets Cardinal Rai, urges utmost secrecy on Arsal hostages dossier
Prime Minister Tammam Salam said on Wednesday that the current state of affairs in the country is not reassuring, reiterating his call on all the political forces to prioritize the presidential entitlement.

“Should the situation remain the same, we will only witness more drawbacks,” Salam said following his meeting with Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros al-Rai in Bkerke.

“Dialogue being held between Hezbollah and the Future Movement should be a source of comfort for the Lebanese people,” PM Salam said, hoping this dialogue would contribute to the election of a new president the soonest possible.

Turning to the file of the kidnapped Lebanese troops, Salam asked all parties in general, and the media in particular, to seek utmost seriousness and secrecy on this dossier.
