LBCI reporter and news anchor Yazbek Wehbe posted weather updates on his Facebook page, whereby he said that storm Yohan will continue, noting that the rainfall will ease on Wednesday before noon, and will intensify again in the evening.
As for snow fall, he stated that snow will cover the regions located at 1000 meters above sea level, expecting a decrease in altitude as of Thursday morning.
Wehbe added that the winds, which reached a speed of 100 kilometers per hour, caused major damages in the coastal areas, noting that the wave height reached 6 meters.
In this context, traffic was blocked on the seaside road from Jounieh to Beirut near Nahr al-Kalb tunnel, due to floods caused by the high waves.
In Beirut port, a number of boats sank due to the turbulent sea.
