REPORT: Stranded Lebanese truck drivers return to Beirut
Eight Lebanese truck drivers who were stranded at the Nasib border crossing between Syrian and Jordan arrived Monday to the Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport.     
 
The drivers are identified as Obeid and Hassam Lwees, Ahmad al-Daher, Ali Serhan, Badr Alwan, Mustafa Abu Arweh, Mohammad Hamzeh and Abdul Hamid al-Houry.    
 
The whereabouts of one remaining driver, Hassan al-Atat, are yet to be revealed with reports saying his captors have demanded a ransom in exchange for his release.     
 
Minister of Agriculture Akram Chehayeb received the drivers at the airport and thanked the Free Syrian Army alongside the Jordanian government for their release.     
 
“Contacts are still being held for Hassan Al-Atat release."      
 
At least 30 Lebanese drivers were stranded on the Syrian-Jordanian border, in the free zone, after Nusra Front-backed rebels, seized the Syrian side, prompting Amman to close the frontier crossing.          
 
The majority of the drivers have returned to Lebanon in the past few weeks but several of them were left in Saudi Arabia after Jordan closed the Nasib border crossing.
