REPORT: 27 food poisoning cases reported in Lebanon’s Akkar
The state-run National News Agency said on Monday that 27 food poisoning cases were reported in the Akkar district, noting that all the affected were taken to hospitals in Habla and Qobayyat.

“11 people among those suffering from food poisoning consumed meat products they had brought from a meat market in the Wadi Khaled area,” the agency said, adding that others were similarly poisoned but from other meat markets.

Health Ministry monitors shut down the aforementioned markets pending results of laboratory tests on meat samples.
