REPORT: Berri reiterates call for expediting election of new president

Speaker Nabih Berri reiterated the need to hasten the election of a new president, stressing that this issue has direct effects on the national level and the work of the constitutional institutions.

During Wednesday’s gathering, Berri regretted the obstruction of legislation, by preventing the parliament from holding legislative sessions to discuss and pass a series of projects related to the economic and developmental sectors.
