REPORT: Relatives of Arsal abducted soldiers block streets
Relatives of the abducted soldiers taken hostage by the Islamic State and the al-Nusra Front shortly blocked on Sunday the Banks street in Riyad al-Soleh square protesting the delay in efforts to release their sons.

“We have heard nothing about our loved ones since eight months ago. We have information that the crisis cell is deploying no efforts in this regards,” they noted.

After cutting the Banks street, the families and relatives headed to the airport road and shortly blocked both ways with burning tires.

The families have been blocking roads and staging sit-ins since their sons were taken hostage following clashes between the Lebanese army and the jihadists more than one year ago.

A few of the abducted soldiers have been released and four were executed.

Negotiations to release them have stalled.
