Speaker Nabih Berri stressed the need to hold a legislative session as soon as possible, noting that “it is unacceptable to stand idly by while obstruction continues and the growing economic risks threaten the country's future.”
In this context, deputies reported that Berri started preparing for the said session and gave his instructions in this regard, adding that he will head a meeting for the Parliament’s Bureau Committee on Tuesday noon to discuss and approve the session’s agenda, in light of the accumulation of several urgent projects and draft laws.
Earlier in the day, Berri held Wednesday Deputies' Gathering in the presence of MPs Emile Rahme, Nabil Nicolas, Walid Khoury, Ali Ammar, Hany Qobeissy, Yassin Jaber, Michel Moussa, Ali Bazzi, Ali Khreiss, Qassem Hashem, Walid Sukarrieyh, Abbas Hashem and Estephan alo-Douweihy.
