The Union Coordination Committee called Tuesday upon the parliament to approve the new salary scale, demanding the amendment of the draft law before its endorsement.
During a sit-in held in Beirut's Riad el-Solh Square, the UCC reiterated that the people will never give up, calling on the officials to take the necessary steps in a bid to elect a new president.
For his part, Nehme Mahfoud, head of the Private Schools Teachers Association, clarified that the committee will specify its next steps following the meeting of the Parliament’s Bureau Committee that will be held today afternoon.
