REPORT: Israeli maneuvers to enter Lebanese territories

The Israeli Air Force conducted maneuvers in response to Hezbollah’s acknowledgements on Thursday of sending a drone aircraft that was shot down last weekend after flying some 25 miles (55 km) into Israel.

The maneuvers focused on battles inside the Lebanese territories for several days and parachute landing for soldiers carrying combat equipment.

The Israeli people followed Hezbollah’s leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah televised speech on Thursday in which Nasrallah confirmed a statement by Israel's prime minister saying that Hezbollah was behind the drone flight.  

Consequently, the Israeli media said that the Israeli Army refuses to comment on Nasrallah’s claims under the pretext of not revealing its cards to Hezbollah, stressing that it expects a similar operation to happen again.  

The media added that the Israeli Army faces an important airspace challenge, revealing that the Israeli Forces tried to shot down the unpiloted aircraft with an F-16 warplane but failed. 

 In this context, US troops arrived to Israel and will be helping the Israeli Army in its maneuvers and trainings to shot down drone aircrafts.
