Lebanon to go under a two-week total lockdown
Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Dian announced on Tuesday that the country will go in a total lockdown as of Saturday November 14 until Sunday, November 29.

“If the Lebanese people abide by the measures, and we succeed in containing the virus by reducing the number of cases, then we will have saved the people, and maybe saved the economy before the holidays,” Diab said following a meeting for the Supreme Defense Council at the Baabda Presidential Palace.

Diab also noted that he asked the Ministry of Health to beef up readiness, adding that he asked the security forces to be firm while implementing the lockdown’s decision.

“We fear that we reach a stage when people would die in the streets as hospitals are now full with critical cases,” he added.
