REPORT: Clearing canals, the first step in preparation for winter

Lebanese officials have started preparing for the winter season by clearing out the canals on the international highway from Chtoura towards al-Masnaa.

But surprisingly, covers for these canals have disappeared and people crossing these roads have become potential victims to traps.

The first victims were the workers in charge of cleaning these streams.

And until tires and concrete blocks are replaced by warning signals or metal plates, citizens passing on this road have no other choice but to move aside and escape possible accidents which may be fatal.
