REPORT: SCC holds general strike; catholic schools unsupportive

The Syndicate Coordination Committee (SCC) is preparing for its general strike on Tuesday and Wednesday; a strike that catholic schools will not support.
In this framework, head of the private school teachers association Nehme Mahfoud said to LBCI, "the salaries of teachers are inept" and asked those concerned to support the SCC.

“The state is able to fund 4 pay scales instead of one,” Mahfoud added.

On the other hand, the General Secretary of Catholic School Father Boutros Azar said that the 27th and 28th will be normal school days stressing that they are not against the rights of teachers.
