REPORT: Events outside Egypt’s Presidential Palace, revealed

The media outlets did not succeed in showing what truly happened, contrary to the activists who photographed all the violations committed during the Egyptian protests.

In this context, photos/videos taken by activists and uploaded on Youtube, showed an attack carried out by the Islamists against the protesters outside the Presidential palace, where they destroyed sit-in tents and beat the protesters, leading to the escalation in violence with protesters resorting to sticks, stone and eventual gunfire exchange. These clashes reaped a toll of 5 people killed and over 450 injured.

One member of the Muslim Brotherhood was shown trying to silence a woman from the opposition by covering her mouth with his hand.

On the fifth of December, the scenes of the clashes resembled that of a civil war. While an Egyptian TV channel was broadcasting live from the surrounding of the Federal Palace, it captured an opposition member who sustained gun wounds dragged by other protesters through the street.

Moreover, the Muslim Brotherhood members attacked and kidnapped opposition protesters, beat them, removed their clothes and detained them.
