LBCI Exclusive: Murdered inmate Qandaqli appears in a video asking the help of a Sheikh

Prior to the investigations that are expected to kick off on Monday in the murder case of Palestinian inmate Ghassan al-Qandaqli who was killed by Islamists inside the Roumieh Prison, LBCI broadcasted an exclusive video in which Qandali urges a Sheikh to help him seek a lower prison sentence.

Qandaqli addressed the Sheikh in the video and said to him: “I, Ghassan Qandaqli, sentenced to death, have spent 14 years in prison and I kindly ask you to help me find a person who could help me reduce my prison sentence between 15 and 18 years.”

He then added: “I have sinned and I paid my dues. I lost my family, home and son. I hope that you could help me find someone who would accept to lower my prison sentence in exchange of a certain amount of money."
