REPORT: "Initiative for proportionality" advocates protest outside Interior Ministry

"Initiative for proportionality" advocates held a protest on Tuesday outside the Interior Ministry to demand the ratification of a new electoral law according to the proportionality representation system and isolated from sectarianism, whereby Lebanon is considered one electoral district.

The initiative suggests a number of reforms, including the regulation of the expatriates votes in the elections, lowering the voting age to 18, imposing a female quota and monitoring the media during the elections.
