REPORT: Saudi film on women's situation shown in international festivals

Saudi female director Ahed Kamel launched her second film titled "Horma" (Sanctity), which examines the situation of Saudi women, represented by the story of a Saudi pregnant woman who will do her best to protect her unborn child by standing against her guardian who is her brother in law.

The movie reveals the way the Arab and Saudi community deals with the woman, and stresses the importance of respecting women in general as an independent human being.

Kamel's film which was shot in Jeddah, will be shown in four shows within the Berlin International Film Festival, after receiving an award at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival in Qatar.
