REPORT: Continuous consultations to agree on a new Prime Minister

Neither the parliamentary majority nor the opposition have reached a final answer in regards to the formation of a new cabinet and the name of the Prime Minister as well as the fate of the upcoming parliamentary elections and the electoral law upon which they will be held.

In regards to the formation of the new cabinet, the Future Bloc’s sources told LBCI that the bloc refuses the re-election of caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati and mentioned that discussions are taking place between Former PM Saad Hariri and Head of the Future Bloc Fouad Siniora.

This report will examine the stance of the National Struggle Front in this regards as well as that of Hezbollah.
