REPORT: A draft project to organize work of stone quarries

Following various calls made by Caretaker Environment Minister Nazem Khoury regarding the chaotic and illegal situation of stone quarries in Lebanon, this year Minister Khoury decided to put an end to this situation by adopting a project that organizes the work of these quarries.

Although it might be helpful, this draft project will not be implemented before the formation of the new cabinet.

This report will highlight the ongoing chaos in regards to stone quarries as well as the draft project presented by Caretaker Minister of Environment Nazem Khoury.
