REPORT: Shiite religious shrines in Syria under fire

The Shiite Shrine of Sayeda Zeinab along with other shrines located in Syria are being shelled during the continuous war between regime and opposition forces.

This report will examine Hezbollah’s participation in the battles under the pretext of protecting the shrines as well as the spiritual and sacred importance of these shrines to all religious sects in Syria.
