China calls on US to play ‘responsible role’ in war between Israel, Hamas

The Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated on Saturday that Washington should "play a constructive and responsible role" in the conflict between Israel and Hamas Movement during a phone call with his US counterpart Antony Blinken.

He also told Blinken, "The United States should practically play a constructive and responsible role to push the issue onto a path that leads to a political settlement as soon as possible," according to a statement released by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
