Russian Foreign and Defense Ministers hold talks with their Iranian counterparts

The Russian news agency reported that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu conducted telephone talks with their Iranian counterparts on Monday.

The strength of relations between Russia and Iran has increased in recent months, with Iran supplying weapons to Russia for use in Ukraine. Both sides criticize Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip.
