Biden stresses the 'necessity of protecting' humanitarian teams in Gaza

President Joe Biden spoke with chef José Andrés, the founder of World Central Kitchen, to express his solidarity after an Israeli airstrike killed seven relief workers affiliated with the organization, the White House announced Tuesday.

Biden told Andrés that his "heart is broken" and that he "conveyed he will make it clear to Israel that humanitarian aid workers must be protected," according to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
