Military council in Mali announces 'suspension' of political party activities

The military council in Mali announced on Wednesday the suspension of political party and association activities "until further notice."

Government spokesperson Abdoulaye Maiga read a decree issued by the head of the military council, Assimi Goïta, stating "suspension until further notice, for reasons of public order, political party activities and political activities of associations, throughout the national territory."
