Scholz hopes for 'constructive' government after French vote

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said Monday he hoped France would be able to form a "constructive" government after parliamentary elections left no bloc with a clear majority.

"We hope that the president and the elected MPs will manage to bring about a constructive government formation," he told reporters.
