Bangladesh protest leader says PM must resign, 'face trial'

The leader of ongoing student demonstrations across Bangladesh demanded on Saturday that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina "must resign and she must face trial" for a police crackdown on protesters last month.

"Sheikh Hasina should not only resign, there should be a trial for the murders, looting, and corruption," Students Against Discrimination leader Nahid Islam told a crowd of thousands in central Dhaka.
