Russian army says fighting Ukraine border incursion for fourth day

Russia's army said on Friday it was still fighting a Ukrainian incursion into its western Kursk border region, four days after Kyiv's forces stormed across the border in a surprise attack.

"(We) continue to repel an attempted incursion by the Ukrainian armed forces into the territory of the Russian Federation," the defense ministry said, adding that its troops had destroyed Ukrainian military equipment and killed soldiers in several Russian settlements near the border.
