Russian advance in Kursk region 'stopped': Ukraine official to AFP

Russia’s counteroffensive to retake territory captured by Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region has been “stopped,” a spokesman for Ukraine’s military administration in the area told AFP on Wednesday.

“They tried to attack from the flanks, but they were stopped,” spokesman Oleksiy Dmytrashkivsky told AFP. “The situation has stabilized, and today everything is under control. They are not succeeding.”
