Kremlin says Putin not currently planning to go to Istanbul for peace talks

The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is not currently planning to travel to Istanbul for peace talks with Ukraine, but that the Russian delegation is there and ready to meet with the Ukrainian team.

When asked whether Putin would go to Istanbul if U.S. President Donald Trump did, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Russia does not yet know how the negotiations will unfold, and noted that the Ukrainian delegation has not yet arrived.
