NATO says Armenia-Azerbaijan peace deal a 'significant step forward'

NATO on Saturday hailed the signing of a U.S.-brokered peace deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan following decades of conflict as a "significant step forward".

"We welcome progress towards peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and thank (U.S. President Donald Trump) for his investments in peace. This is a significant step forward," the Western military alliance's spokeswoman Allison Hart said on X.
