Seoul says US immigration detained 'multiple' South Koreans in factory raid

Seoul said Friday that U.S. immigration authorities detained South Koreans during a raid at a battery plant under construction in the state of Georgia.

On Thursday local time, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raided the "site of a (South Korean) company's battery plant in Georgia, detaining multiple South Korean nationals", ministry spokesperson Lee Jae-woong told reporters.
