Seoul says nationals' rights 'must not be unjustly infringed' after ICE raid

Seoul said Friday the rights of its citizens must not be infringed upon, after U.S. immigration authorities detained South Korean nationals during a major raid on a battery plant in Georgia.

For South Korea, "the economic activities of our investors and the legitimate rights and interests of our nationals must not be unjustly infringed in the course of U.S. law enforcement", foreign ministry spokesperson Lee Jae-woong told reporters.
