Silver climbs past $75 an ounce for the first time

Silver surpassed $75 per ounce on Friday for the first time, as both precious and industrial metals hit unprecedented highs at year's end, driven by economic and geopolitical uncertainty.

Silver reached a peak of $75.1515 per ounce on Friday. Gold also touched a record high at $4,531.04 per ounce.
