China says imposed export curbs on 7 European entities over Taiwan arms sales

China has imposed restrictions on seven European entities related to the defence sector, Beijing said on Friday, in retaliation for their arms sales or "collusion" with Taiwan.

The restrictions -- effective immediately -- are needed "to safeguard national security and interests and fulfill international obligations such as non-proliferation", the commerce ministry said in a statement.
