US envoy to NATO condemns 'reckless incursion' on Romanian territory

The U.S. ambassador to NATO on Friday denounced a "reckless incursion" into Romanian territory after a drone crash injured two people in the country bordering Ukraine.

"We stand with our NATO ally Romania and condemn this reckless incursion on its territory," Matthew Whitaker wrote on X, without explicitly calling out Russia over the incident. "We will defend every inch of NATO territory."
