Sleiman says will resume calls for dialogue

President Michel Sleiman stressed on Wednesday the importance to encourage the parties of the national dialogue to keep on working despite the obstacles, to seek a defense strategy to protect Lebanon from Israeli attacks.

During an iftar banquet at Baabda Palace, Sleiman reiterated that he will resume his contacts and efforts starting this evening in a bid to relaunch the national dialogue and let the parties bear the responsibility of boycotting the meeting.

“We have distanced Lebanon from any repercussion resulting from regional events, especially the Syrian crisis. We hope that a political solution could be reached in that regard” Sleiman said commenting on the Arab world developments.
